Workshops
For working professionals:
One of the greatest frustrations of working with the addictions is relapse. Certainly, one of the most common situations faced by the therapist is the client who had abstinence and has now lost it. The two professional workshops, “Motivation for Maintenance,” Parts I and II, turn this situation into opportunity. Yes, and motivation. Part I focuses on “wishful thinking” found at moments of relapse. Part II, not necessarily taken in order or together, addresses the “expletive” relapse.
For the lay person:
The “Coping Workshop” is for the lay person, with or without addiction, though professionals are certainly welcome. In this workshop, we systematically develop and apply the “SPARROW” Model for dealing with the frustrations in your life. “SPARROW” turns the principle of the Serentiy Prayer into practical assessment and action. Having an addiction is NOT required! In particular, we address the persistent issues known as “living problems.” Come with a problem and leave with a plan!
